("us", "we", or "our") operates the
website (the "Service").
This page informs you of our policies regarding a booking cancellation and pets.
Deposit Requirement (All Stay Types)
- Standard Policy: A 50% deposit of the total reservation cost (including taxes and fees) is required at the time of booking to secure any unit.
- Processing: This deposit is processed immediately upon reservation. The remaining 50% balance is due in full upon arrival (Check-in).
Short-Term Stays (1–6 Nights)
- Cancellation Window: Notice must be provided at least 7 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
- Cancellation Penalty: If canceled more than 7 days prior: The 50% deposit will be refunded, minus a $50 administrative processing fee.
- If canceled within 7 days of arrival: The entire 50% deposit is strictly non-refundable and will be forfeited.
- No-Show Policy: Guests who fail to arrive on their arrival date without notice will be charged for the full 100% of the reservation cost.
Weekly Stays (7–29 Nights)
- Deposit: A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
- Cancellation Window: A 14-day notice is required for any changes or cancellations.
- Penalty: Cancellations made within the 14-day window result in the
total forfeiture of the 50% deposit.
Monthly / Seasonal Stays (30+ Nights)
- Deposit: A 50% deposit of the first month’s stay is required to hold the unit.
- Cancellation Window: A 30-day written notice is required.
- Penalty: Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date result in the total forfeiture of the 50% deposit.
- For stays already in progress: A 30-day notice is required for early departure. Without 30 days' notice, the guest is responsible for the full payment of the following month.
- Security Deposit: A separate, refundable $300 Security Deposit is due at check-in for all monthly residents.
Florida Property Disclosures
Force Majeure (Hurricanes): In the event of a Mandatory Evacuation Order issued by local authorities, deposits may be applied as a "Stay Credit" for future dates within 12 months. No cash refunds will be issued for weather-related events unless the property is legally unable to provide the room.
Authorization & Agreement
By providing credit card information and confirming a reservation, the guest authorizes The Panacea Motel to charge the 50% deposit and agrees to these cancellation terms.
All "Non-Refundable" designations are final.
Pet Policy

Authorized Pets & Fees
- Permitted Pets: Only domesticated dogs under 40 lbs are permitted. A maximum of two (2) pets per unit is allowed. Only dogs and cats are allowed. Exotic animals are strictly prohibited.
- Non-Refundable Pet Fee:
- Short-Term (1–6 Nights): $15/night for every night per pet
- Extended Stay (7+ Nights): $15/night for every night per pet
- Monthly stays (30+ days): $200 a month per pet
- Payment: All pet fees must be paid as part of the initial 50% deposit or at check-in. These fees cover standard deep-cleaning but do not cover damages.
Service Animals vs. Emotional Support Animals (ESAs)
- Service Animals: In accordance with Florida Law and the ADA, legitimate service dogs (trained to perform specific tasks) are welcome at no additional charge. Guests may be asked: (1) Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
- Emotional Support Animals (ESAs): Under Florida 2026 lodging standards,
ESAs do not have public access rights in motels.
They are treated as standard pets and are subject to all fees, weight limits, and breed restrictions.
On-Site Rules & Behavioral Standards
- Leash Requirement: Pets must be on a non-retractable leash (maximum 6ft) at all times when outside the room.
- Unattended Pets: Pets cannot be left unattended in the room at any time unless secured in a crate. If an unattended pet causes a noise disturbance, management reserves the right to enter the room or require the guest to remove the pet immediately.
- Prohibited Areas: Pets are strictly prohibited from the laundry facilities, and office.
- Waste Removal: Guests must immediately dispose of pet waste. A $100 "Poop Fine" will be charged per instance of uncollected waste.
Damages & Inspections
- Damage Liability: The guest is 100% responsible for any damage to furniture, flooring, or drywall.
- Room Inspections: For weekly/monthly stays, management will conduct a
mandatory bi-weekly room inspection to check for pet-related damages or odors.
Violations & Eviction
- Undisclosed Pets: If a pet is discovered in a room that was not disclosed at check-in, the guest will be charged a $300 penalty fee and may be asked to vacate the premises immediately without a refund.
- Noise/Nuisance: We maintain a "One-Warning" policy for barking or aggressive behavior. A second complaint will result in the immediate termination of the stay with total forfeiture of all payments and deposits.
Changes To These Policies
We may update our Cancellation and Pet Policies from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy on this page.
You are advised to review these Policies periodically for any changes. Changes to this Policies are effective when they are posted on this page.
